The Wonder Project is Engineering New Zealand’s free programme for schools, designed to get kids excited about STEM – science, technology, engineering and maths. It’s aligned to the NZ curriculum and funded by Callaghan Innovation, with other partnerships for our specific challenges. We design project-based learning experiences that make STEM super fun and engaging so kids don’t realise they’re learning maths and science. The magic’s in the relationship between the teachers and kids and their volunteer Wonder Project Ambassador who’s a real life STEM professional. We need STEM ambassadors in every corner of Aotearoa to help us Spark wonder in more students with our hands-on learning experiences in 2022.
