Mad Ave engagement is based on indigenous wisdom and innovative technologies that culminates into generative outcomes at a number of levels. The Mad Ave model is called HE WHAINGA MAHARA and is based on the living systems articulated in the Three baskets of knowledge. For almost a decade the Mad Ave Community Trust (Mad Ave) has diligently worked in the community development sector. We do this by: Inspiring community cohesion through hui facilitation, wānanga (educational workshops), artistic and cultural programming Embedding tikanga and Mātauranga Māori (Māori knowledge) as a tool for wellness and transformation Supporting community groups by providing communication strategies and technologies to build stakeholder engagement. Mad Ave specialises in building and implementing a wide range of creative innovative programmes that give rise to community cohesion and well-being. In a sense, Mad Ave is the vanguard for community-based and led interests. These projects are primarily designed to integrate better engagement and positive outcomes within educational, environmental and community support sectors.
