Wellington Touch Association

The Wellington Touch Association (WTA) is an Incorporated Society designed to; as our mission statement declares; pro-actively manage, foster and develop the sport of touch in Wellington. The WTA was first formed in 1995, and has since been dependent on the hard work of a small group of volunteers with a passion for our game. These people do everything from administration, planning, coaching, managing, playing and sometimes all these things together. 23 years later, our Association is still proudly going strong, with an estimated 22,000 members playing our sport in the Wellington region across age grades as young as 5 and up to 70. The Wellington region covers from the Cook Strait in the South; North up to and including Porirua (which is the boundary for the Kapiti Horowhenua Association) and then across to the Rimutaka Hills and Upper Hutt. The WTA is a fully fledged member of Touch NZ Incorporated and also of the Central Region Touch Association (CRTA) which is an amalgamation of the Lower North Island Associations.
