The New Zealand Masters Games is the 3rd oldest Masters tournament in the world, celebrating its 30th anniversary next year. Bringing together over 5,000 participants over 10 days and nights, this is a must-do for every sporting kiwi!
Between 1st and 10th February, Whanganui will proudly host the 30th Anniversary of the New Zealand Masters Games – a significant milestone as it secures its space in New Zealand’s Sporting History as the largest and longest running multi-sport event in New Zealand!
New Zealand’s famous celebration of masters sport will showcase participation in more than 50 sports at 38 of Whanganui’s top sporting facilities and feature a jam-packed nightly entertainment programme at the Games Village.
The New Zealand Masters Games are open to anyone as long as you meet the minimum age for your chosen sport (usually around 30 years of age!). There are no qualifying standards to participate, just a healthy appetite for fun, trying new sports and enjoying the social element Masters Games are renowned for.
