We are an all-volunteer group seeking help to maintain and expand a pest-controlled 250 hectare area around the Pā Kererū walk in a beautiful area of regenerating bush in the Kaimai Mamaku Conservation Park at the end of Whakamārama Road, just northwest of Tauranga.
We are recruiting additional Night Guide Assistants to assist our Night Guides to deliver our highly popular night tours which run every night of the year (other than Christmas Day). We welcome visitors from all over the world and give them a very special experience of our urban ecosanctuary in the dark. There are lots of taonga to spot, including our kiwi pukupuke/Little Spotted Kiwi. It's a fun and interesting experience!
Ever wondered what it's like day-to-day at a sustainability-focussed for purpose organisation? Look no further! This internship is all about getting stuck in with us at Waiheke Sustainability Centre and in the field! You will get the chance to gain practical experience with a wide variety of WRT projects and events, as well as with running the Centre itself.
This internship is all about showcasing WRT. Your work may vary from designing and creating copy for digital media campaigns or event collateral that aligns with our brand guidelines to updating report content and layout. WRT cares deeply about the environment and crafting our message to spark excitement about our mahi is inherently tied to this internship. Our interns make real contributions and add value to the team, shoulder responsibility, and are expected to bring new ideas to the table.
If you are motivated, interested in supporting action for sustainability from a governance role, and are connected with your Waiheke community, then you could be the new Chair to the WRT Board!
